Awful ‘Angover

AZ365-10: Awful-Angover
Letter A, day 10/14, 10/365

Awful ‘angover, sent in by Chris Ritter. A very good idea.

I tried shooting this early this morning, thinking that would be the best time – rumpled, bleary-eyed me – but no. My brain didn’t work.

This works better than my earlier efforts so here it is.

What I wanted here was some pain, a little grogginess, and that queazy, green-tinged feeling you get when anything but a cup of water makes you want to yak.

I lighted my head with a snooted SB-26 in order to highlight the head – a very important component of the gnarly hangover. Maybe next time I’ll get myself to ralph in a bowl…

A little processing in Lightroom gave the greenish tinge to this shot. Maybe it’s over the top, but I thought the normal hues of the original shot looked flat and meaningless. I am trying to explore here.

Enjoy the upcoming weekend!
